Advice for the parents Some recommendations

In order for your child to get the most out of their lessons, please remember to :

- Equip him/her correctly: warm ski clothes, hat, mittens or gloves, goggles or ski mask, sun cream, handkerchiefs

- A small snack that fits in their pocket.

- Wearing a helmet is compulsory for children and strongly recommended for adults as well. Wearing wrist guards is also recommended for snowboarding.

- Avoid following your children during their lessons and calling out to them, this is for their own learning interest.

- Leave it to the instructors to decide whether or not to change levels and/or groups; only they can do this, trust their experience in the field.

- Inform the instructor of any health problems your child may have or any relevant information about him/her.

- Encourage your child to follow the instructor's instructions and recommendations

Where to find us... Our office and our rendez-vous point for lessons

The ESI La Clusaz ski school office is located at the top of the village, close to the Ski Set Sport Boutique and the Crédit Mutuel bank.

The meeting point for lessons is at La Patinoire, the main departure point for the La Clusaz ski area, at the foot of the Patinoire and Beauregard gondola; next to the Champ Giguet.

Around mid-April when the Massif de Balme is the only slopes open, the meeting point for the ski lessons is in front of the Balme lift ticket office.

 

SKI PASSES La Clusaz - Manigod

Ski passes are not included in our services. 
Anyone using the ski lifts must have a ticket (ski pass, pedestrian ticket or point card).

The La Clusaz-Manigod ski pass is sufficient for ski lessons.

The ski resort of La Clusaz has several ski pass sales points, including the one at La Patinoire, which is located just opposite the starting point of the ESI lessons.

Aravis Security Insurance Cancellation and ski accident insurance

An accident can cost you 

Mountain rescue is not free of charge and must be paid for by the injured person.
Insurance is not included in our ski lessons.
Whilst getting your ski pass in one of the ski pass's sales points you can also ask to get the insurance.

Aravis Sécurité provides you with all the assistance necessary to gurantee that you enjoy all the snow sports with complete peace of mind.
Price: 3.20 euros per day.

This insurance covers the costs of : 
* cancellation of your ski lessons and your ski pass, before your stay, in the event of illness or death of the insured person or one of his/her relatives, 
* defence and recourse , 
* search and rescue, care, 
* assistance and repatriation, 
* reimbursement of ski passes and lessons in the event of an accident during your stay, from the day after the insured person becomes unfit to ski.

The ski area of La Clusaz is :

The ski area is part of the Massif des Aravis area giving access to more than 220 km of runs.

La Clusaz Ski resort

La Clusaz, a mid-altitude ski resort, is particularly easy to access as it is ideally situated on the “Route des Aravis”, 30 minutes by car from Annecy.

The small hamlets that make up the ski resort give it its authentic Savoyard character. La Clusaz is also a ski resort renowned for its sporting spirit and festive “après-ski” evenings.

With exceptional snow cover, the ski area of La Clusaz gives access to the Aravis Massif ski area linking the resort to Le Grand Bornand, Manigod and St. Jean de Sixt.

The Aravis Massif enjoys an exceptional location in terms of accessibility: 30 minutes from Annecy and its TGV station and 1 hour from Geneva and its international airport.

The largest European capitals are less than 4 to 2 hours by air and less than 8 to 4 hours by rail; as are the major cities of the Rhône Alpes region less than 2 hours by road.

 

By car :

A 40 (Autoroute Blanche): exit N° 16 Bonneville, direction Stations des Aravis 20 km away.

A 41: exit Annecy Nord, exit 17, direction Thônes / Stations des Aravis 30 km away.

In winter, the roads are well plowed, but special equipment (snow tyres or snow chains) is required.

By plane :

Geneva International Airport at 50 km.Flight info. A reception and reservation service is at your service at the airport.
